With Ryanair. Ryanair does a flight from LONDON STANSTED to PERUGIA three times a week. The transfer time is only 30 minutes.

Also from LONDON STANSTED: BOLOGNA -FORLI' (1,5 hours drive away), ANCONA (1,45 hours drive away) PISA & ROMA CIAMPINO (2,5 hours drive away).

Getting to us by car:

The easiest and most convenient to reach us from the airport is by car and each airport has plenty of companies offering cars hire, but it is cheaper to pre-book via internet using sites such as:www.travelsupermarket.com

If you prefer we can arrange transport for you by private car, taxi or by bus from the airport to your accommodation.

Direction to CITTA' DI CASTELLO:

The nearest airport is PERUGIA and it is only 30 minutes by car. Take the E45 superstrada to CESENA. Exit at the second turning for CITTA' DI CASTELLO (after the short road tunnel) and following the sign for "centro". There is a large car park on the right with a petrol station too.

ROMA is 2.5 hours drive away:follow the A1 motorway to FIRENZE and then the E45 superstrada to ORTE. Follow the E45 towards CESENA and take the second exit for CITTA' DI CASTELLO (as above).

FIRENZE is only 1,5 hours away: take the A1 motorway to Roma and exit at AREZZO; follow the sign to SANSEPOLCRO  - CITTA' DI CASTELLO and S.s. 73/ E78 continue following the sign to CITTA' DI CASTELLO.

PISA (2.5 hours away) follow the road FI.PI.LI to FIRENZE and then take the A1 motorway to ROMA. Exit at AREZZO and follow the signs to SANSEPOLCRO-CITTA' DI CASTELLO. Follow the S.S. 73  / E78 and the sign to CITTA' DI CASTELLO.

BOLOGNA (approx 2 hours away):follow the A14 motorway to ANCONA and leaving the motorway at CESENA. Then follow the E45 superstrada to ROMA. Exit at CITTA' DI CASTELLO.

FORLI -BOLOGNA-(1 hr & 20min):follow the S.S 9 via Emilia to CESENA and take the E45 to ROMA. Exit at CITTA' DI CASTELLO.

ANCONA: (approx. 1.45 hr drive):follow the ss 76 towards Ancona and then follow the ss 3. Go through ss 318 via EUGUBINA and follow the signal to Umbertide, Città di Castello, A 14, Cesena. Then follow the SS 3bis/E45 superstrada. Exit at Città di Castello.

You can also take the public transport:

From Roma you can take a train in STAZIONE TERMINI (the central station). Roma towards Firenze (or Milano) getting off at AREZZO. From Arezzo you can take the bus (the company called "SITA") from the bus station, which is situated in front of the train station. Getting off at Città di Castello.

*To buy your tickets for the train you can use the self service machines or buy it at the newsagents in the Station, as well as the normal ticket booths at the station. You must punch your own ticket at one of the many machine dotted around the station or on the platforms BEFORE you get on the train. Failure to do so will cost you a heft fine.

* You can buy your bus ticket from the newsagents near the entrance of the station, and you MUST put the ticket in the ticket punch machine to register it, when you enter the bus. All the buses stop at PIAZZA GARIBALDI, in the city centre of Città di Castello. If you prefer we can pick up you in Arezzo.

From ROMA you can also take the "Sulga" company bus from the FIUMICINO AIRPORT  or from TIBURTINA BUS STATION (which is situated near the Tiburtina train station). There is a bus every day at 4.00 p.m. and it arrives at Città di Castello around 6.40 p.m. You can buy your ticket on the bus.

From PISA:take the train from PISA AIRPORT to central station (just 5 minutes away) and then take the train to FIRENZE; change for AREZZO and  take the bus (SITA company) at the bus station or we can pick up you at the AREZZO station.

From FIRENZE:take the train to Arezzo (approx 40 min) and the bus (SITA company) in front of the train station.
